Sometimes the file can't be healed, if it can be great. If it fails, move it to quarantine, the file will be contained in a "safe" within your anti-virus program. The virus will still be there but it is in an isolated location on your computer and cannot function, you should however not keep in there forever, if removal is an option, remove the virus.
