Their really shouldnt be a downside to marriage, but if there is I would say that, you would have to do more compromising instead of just doing things your way

Down sides lets see. A downside is when people fight and dont work on things and they are selfish and unkind. Cheating and unfaithfulness is a downside too and so is abuse and infidelity. People forget what they have said in their vow so they end up doing whatever they want anyway. I am so glad i have a wonderful husband and we always to to keep our marriage upbeat happy and fun!

the risk of losing one's self and letting desires dry up. (my first marriage) The risk of losing your motivation to take care yourself. My second marraige is awesome and I wouldn't give it up for the world, but my first was with a controlling, manipulative person and that was not healthy for me.

my husband is a complete jerk. and none of my expectations have been met, even after trying to be a proverbs 31 woman.

the only down side for me is that my hubby is in the navy so he gets sent off alot .
