I think I just saved a man's life.?

I was on here and I saw a question about a suicide going to happen. I told the person not to do it and I just recieved an email from them saying, "I don't know who you are, but you really had an impact on me!" Waaaa! I wanna cry, what do I do?

Congratulations!!! Not many people know what words to use that adequately address the concerns of someone contemplating suicide. It only takes caring to contribute the love you have just administered in helping another person. Just be your natural self and offer the spiritual support that you have a knack for. Thus, you are pleasing God. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. Peace and God Bless.

I went and looked at the question, then looked at the questions he posted previous to this and I'm really not sure the question was legitimate, to be honest.

First of all he posted two more questions about it after you already answered (one five minutes ago), and none of them seem particularly genuine to me. They seemed like attention-seeking questions.

He also posted a lot of joke questions prior to these three questions.

It's a very nice thing that you did in answering, but I think it's always a good idea to be sceptical about questions like that. I remember I answered a similar question a long time ago that was chosen as best answer. I hope I helped that person if they were actually considering it, and it was a genuine cry for help, but you just never know.

What I do now if I'm unsure is click on the person's name so I can see the question in the context of all his/her other questions. This usually gives you a much better idea of how to take the question.

There are usually two types of people when it comes to suicide. Those that do it and without warning and those who say they're gonna do it just to seek attention. Guys are pretty crafty when trying to get emotional attention from females, and judging by the responses, this particular method works.

keep on answering questions that you know you can assist someone who needs a friend. remember that some who post questions here really need help. some of them used this features for fun, but some really ask advice, assistance, pointers and solution to their issues. some of us who is concern and understanding feel their pain and we oblige to jump into saving them.

don't cry, be happy that you impacted someone else's life with high regard. continue answering others question honestly and you will always feel connected deep in your heart and being. be proud that you just save someone else soul....

Must have been quite an impact. Most people who have gotten to that point of no return could hardly be affected by an answer on yahoo. Cry anyway if it makes you feel better. lol

Just cry a little.To tell you the truth some psycho cases find this way very effective in order to find a girl.Because if someone is really upset about their life.Yahoo answer would be the last place you will find them at.

reply to that person, tell him/her that suicide will do him/her no good. you can cry.. email that person and be friend w/ him/her... maybe he just needs some comfort and special attention. you should also be proud and happy for what you did. :) pls check out the link below. :) nice work girl!
