Has anyone tried the ring for birth control? How do they like it?

I used the Pill at first, but it made me nauseous all the time. Plus, I missed one dose and I got pregnant fast. So after our baby was born, we decided that the Pill was not gonna work for us. My doctor had tried to introduce the ring to me before, but I didn't like the idea (this was before I got pregnant) because I didn't know what it was going to be like, and the idea of inserting anything down there didn't seem too appealing. But the Pill made me nauseous again, and with a new baby, it just wasn't fun to be taking care of a newborn and throwing up at the same time. So we thought we would give the ring a shot. My doctor gave me a sample to try. When I opened the package, I was surprised to see the ring - it was soft and flexible. Putting it in at first was rather awkward (I'm the kind of girl who rarely uses a tampon), but then I got the hang of it really fast. It's comfortable, very convenient, and I don't even feel that it's there. When we have sex, it doesn't interfere at all, my hubby could not even feel that it was there. I loved the ring! I only had to put in once a month, take it out after 3 weeks, you have a period for a week, then you put a new one in after that period week. My cycle was so regular, I didn't get nauseous at all with the ring, no side effects whatsoever. I just got hooked with it, and I'm never going back to the Pill ever. Plus it's more effective - I didn't get pregnant at all while on the ring. It's the most worry-free birth control out there, in my opinion. Then of course, if you want to start trying for another baby, all you have to do is stop using the ring, and you can start trying. That's what my doctor said.

So as you can see, I highly recommend it. If it works for you, I bet you're gonna love it as well.

I don't like touching myself so I had my b/f put it in and I loved it. When I did try it myself it would fall out because I couldn't get it all the way in cuz of the whole touching myself. But when he did it I had no problems, and I have tried everything, and I can't handle the high doses of hormones, it's like I'm allergic but I'm not. So the ring was the only thing that didn't make me sick and my period didn't spot or anything like it can with the pill or shot.

i use to Nuva ring and have for the past 6 months I really like it because, you don't have to remember to take the pill everyday...i use to always forget to take it until i was in the midle of the act...oops! it's easy to insert and you don't feel it in. the only thing i don't like is sometimes when we have really great $ex my husband will pull out and have it around his dikk, we laugh and call it a ringer( like in horseshoes) but that would be embarressing if i was with someone else...

I've never used it, it kinda grosses me out so I stick with the pill. My best friend, however, uses it and loves it. It's easy and convenient, and if you're going to have trouble remembering to take a pill everyday, I'd say go for it.

My cousin and a friend use the ring and they love it.They just stick it in and they don't have to worry about it.

I've used it for about 3 years and love it. Why do some people think it's gross? It's your body!! What's gross about that?

works pretty good, If I see a wedding ring on their finger I don’t touch them ;)
