Messages FAQs Articles Links Store :Is it normal to have spotting in early pregnancy?
Bleeding during pregnancy is never considered "normal", but bleeding during the first trimester is fairly common. Between 20-25% of women who go on to have healthy babies experience some bleeding in the first trimester.

Of course, if you have more than slight bleeding, or you have any pain or cramping, you should call your doctor. It could be a sign of a miscarriage.

what do you mean you went to the er and they said it MIGHT be a miscarriage did they just send you home?? not doing anything about it, i suppose at 5 weeks that all they can do really isn't it. i suppose since you are having no pains just sit tight and see what happens relax put your feet up and drink plenty of water. also make an appoitment to see ur doc to do some blood test or to see an ultrasound scan. good luck i hope for ur sake its all ok... but hun i don't mean to be rude but if u do have a miscarriage use protection and don't let it happen until your old enough to have kids and u've finished school

Hon, if your only 14 years old and 5 weeks pregnant and your bleeding, go see an OBGYN. If you really want to give this baby a chance to be born, you need to see a Dr that delivers babies. That ER Dr must be an idiot. Didn't he do or tell you what to do to try and prevent a miscarriage? Get to a Dr and good luck...

Are you still bleeding? If you are having a miscarriage that early then there will not usually not be any pain. I had one at 4 weeks, with no pain also. But I also bled when I was 7 weeks along with my 3rd son and I was fine. I thought I was having a miscarriage but it wasnt. Did the doctors say your HCG level was going down?

Pain does not always happen at the beginning. You need to go see your doctor. Many girls miscarry due to the fact that their bodies are not ready to carry. It's really a blessing if you are. Next time, keep your pants on.

Im sorry, but I think maybey if you loose the pregnancy it will turn out for the best--your body really may not be ready---let alone your own life and maturity. You are a child honey. Of course everyone loves their baby, but dont have a baby.

at 14 you should be going out and having a good time with your friends not having sex and falling pregnant. you should be mature and stable before even thinking about getting pregnant. what are you doing to yourself. if you are going to have sex think about using contraception. if i was you i would be going to see a health centre and have a talk to them about your options.
