* I'm asian so I have a light, tanned skin tone.
* In summer, I'm prone to tanning and uneven pigmentation (which won't disappear!)
* So basically, I don't wish to be any darker than I am. What can I apply on my face and body to prevent tanning? Is there any sun block which you swear by?
* I appreciate your help guys. Thanks x

Bull Frog 50 SPF if you have to go out in the sun and also if you wear makeup you can get some that has sun screen in it.

I work for a plastic surgeon who also owns a medi-spa. The BEST thing that you can put on your face is a sunblock that blocks both UVA & UVB rays. We swear by a product called "Obagi". You may be able to find it online. The Obagi skin care line is one of the most top-notch lines out there. Look for "Obagi Healthy Skin Protection". You will definitely have to be diligent about keeping your face sun-blocked....not only with a sunscreen cream, but look for sunscreen protection in your make-up as well. Hyperpigmentation can be faded, but once it's there, its there. I suggest that you look for a mineral make-up because it's not only the most healthy thing you can put on your face, but it has a natural sunblock. Be aware that your hyperpigmentation can appear just from getting too hot and sweating...it's not just a sun-thing. Also, may I suggest that after summer is over, that you try Obagi's product called "Clear"....it has a prescriptive medicine in it called hydoquinone which is a bleaching agent. It will fade any pigmentation that you get during the summer. Good luck, I hope this helps.

Make sure you get a good factor 40 or more sun screen, with 4 or more stars UVA protection. It will say on the back. In the UK we have Soltan from boots that is excellent and has 5 star protection.

Piz Buin is a rather good one, or the Lancaster sun sproducts.

You can also try covering up with sheer materials over your suncream to really up the protection factor and try staying in the shade as much as possible.

I cant recomend any particular sunblocks, but remember that one sunblock working prefect for one person, could work differently with another as skin is different. Some get burnt fast some dont. I'd say try some out, be careful not to stay in the sun to long!
Have a great summer!

Bannanna Boat SPF 50 Sport series sunblock. I was out in the Carolina sun all day Thursday and I'm still just as white as my English ancesters were on the boat ride over here.

As you said yourself plenty of sunscreen
I don't have a product that you should use
Because although I live in FL the sun don't bother me
I can stay inside and still get tanned
Freaky, Huh?

Get foundation with at least 15 SPF and coppertone 45 spf is great too. Hats also rock in this department! Become a fan of baseball caps and cute hats.
