I'm not an FTM person, but I believe many of them 'pass' more easily than MTF. I suppose because a slightly built man catches the attention less than a large build woman. In MTF women it is often the hands and feet that are the 'give away', but with FTM men, once they grow facial hair and bulk up they can 'pass' more easily.

In terms of what the operation involves, there would be a double mastectomy and construction of a phallus involving skin grafts often from the forearm, as well as 'penile' implants in the phallus and large amounts of hormones.

I saw a programme about transsexuals, and the female to male transsexuals achieved quite impressive results without any surgery - with plenty of male hormones coursing through their system their clitoris grew big enough they could get blow jobs just like men could. And the results were more convincing than with male to female. Can't understand why anyone would make these drastic changes though.
