* 12,000 gal above ground pool.
* The pool heaters cost about $1,200 - $1,500 (I don't want to spend that kind of money.)
* The solar covers are such a pain to work with, I would rather not go swimming, if I have to fool with that.
* I was thinking about some kind of heating element that plugs in the outlet. Something similar to what they have in an electric water heaters.

2) Give them each two diet cokes
3) "Everybody in the pool!!"

Problem solved.

Solar covers work well, and if you get the roll-up kind they are not too hard to work with.

Solar cover is the best answer. If you use an immersion heating element large enough to heat the pool 5 degrees I don't think you'd want to see your electric bill!

i don't think there anyway but when its hot and sunny leave ur pool open and maybe the sun will heat the water up

where do you live? if it's in a warm place, just let the sun do the work.
