i dont know how well that really works, but i think its a conch shell.

It's a conch but you can't do it with an ordinary conch shell.
You have to saw the tip the shell off first in order to create a mouthpiece and a passage for the air to go through.

Either conch or triton, and probably any other
big snail shell with the same kind of internal coil
would work. You cut the tip end off and blow it
like a trumpet.

Conch. I have 3. It's fun. Some people learn how to play tunes with them. The sound is incredible.
