Here we go again. Ignorance must be a gift! The name football should be for what Americans call (soccer). The American football should be fighting with the the sport "Handball" for naming rights. About 95% of the American football is played with the hands. Leave the sport that actually uses their feet to play the sport.
You must think I'm wrong....than again.. I am as wrong as the 5 billion people who are watching the World Cup!

by lame do you mean low scoring? isnt baseball as low scoring? or do you need to have commercial breaks every 30 seconds? and swop your athletes constantly. Perhaps you dont like any sport where you dont wear armour?
Do you think its strange how many countrys play proffessional American football??? USA the worlds best!!! Try playing a sport that the rest of the world does. Every country in the world watches the world cup - plays football (yes football not soccer as thats what the rest of the world calls it).
Have you been to a 'soccer game' perhaps if you did you would understand. Live concerts are better than cds when you listen to music because of the shared experience. Sort is the same.
Just because you dont win every game does not make soccer lame.

Footbal is played with foot, the other is played with hands and brutallity, theres only 2 times the world come together, world cup and the olimpic games, so put 2 and 2 together what bigger your unated states game played only there or football!!!

football is very much a strategy game, 5minutes of thinking and 10sec of action. soccer (as you yanks call it) on the other hand is all action and the strategy is planned as the game evolves. me thinks you have it backwards, but that is american arrogance.
