If I write a script and I send it,for example to the writers guild of america, what will they do??
Will they give it back to me with some marks that mean it's copyrighted or will they keep it and so I must have a copy??
And if it is the 2nd one(they keep it,I make a copy) and I give the script to a producer to see if he is interested, how will the producer know it's copyrighted(the copy won't have any signs of copyright, the original one will have probably)???

You can do this at the US Copyright Office – see the last 3 links in the source box. The application is fairly simple & the cost is $30 per application (it will rise to $45 by July 1).

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

no you have to send it to the copyright office the fee is about $35 you don't get it back either and when you send a script or manuscript out you don't get those back either so you must include a self-addressed stamped envelope for them to send a response. you will need several copies of your work and in the end an agency to handle it. it all becomes very expensive and frustrating, but hang in there... persistance is the key to sucsess.

Don't copyright it . register it with the Writers guild. you can do that by going to their web site and follow the directions.
