Do you believe hardships in life make you weaker or stronger. I think hardships make you weaker, I mean how much can you take.

i agree with you. we have no way of getting out of hardships . laws are made to create a workforce that can barely survive. cost of health care, lawyers, taxes, and required insurance . there is nothing left.

I think hardships do make you stronger, but they can also make you fearful to try that thing again and sad whenever you think of that time so it's a give and take. What the hardship is matters too.

Not to be sacriligious, but...

Lord doesn't give you more than you can handle?

So the homeless man on the street in the middle of a blizzard looking for crack and alcohol because he's so overly addicted to both he'd probably kill himself with one more shot or one more hit has got enough to handle? I'm sorry, but i think that that's WAY over the hardships someone can take.

I think it depends on the hardship. Personally, my parents were a hardship to my life -- way too overcontrolling, they'd never leave me alone, they were such shitty parents...that made me stronger, personally. But for some people, it'll give them low self-esteem, make them hate life.

Really, it depends on the person.

Hardships in life are learning tools. How you use them determines whether you get weaker or stronger.

Hardships only make you weaker if you don't face them.
Everything in my life has made me stronger.
Face your fears and troubles and you become bigger than they are.

You have to decide whether they make you stronger or not.

Some people become bitter, jaded, cynical and think that is strength. They're wrong. But it's often the people who let harships warp them into something like that who think that they've become stronger. They may have become tougher, or meaner, but that's not the same thing as becoming stronger.

It makes you stronger in a way - at least you know what to expect next time

I've tried to live by the motto that what does not kill you makes you stronger. However, harships can really wear you down. It is certainly not easy.

As you get older you will change your mind about your answer.

The strongest trees have the deepest roots because they have survived the storms of life. It's the same with us.
