This is the type of Question I had waited for so long.

I will first like to ask you a question.
Why do people tend to fall in love with BOOKS?????
Books increase our language skills and creativity. Some books give an insight in human life. Some books (educational ones) are informative. Some books teach us how to control Anger and things like that. Are these not the reasons why people like and prefer books?
BTW Comics are also books
Likewise Cartoons, Animes and Comics increase and perfect the language skills of an individual. In books continuous conversations is not very usual, but in Cartoons, Animes and Comics, it is. Thus they increase the communicative skills. In many animes, the entire thing to be depicted is not shown. Some parts are to be understood; they are not told directly. Thus the creativity is retained.
The other argument that they are not informative, that they decrease general awareness is worthless. The truth is that they can arouse more general awareness than books. Animes like “Arjuna” are fine examples. It shows the factors like pollution, Global warming, and radioactive pollution. It has a pleasant effect on kids, our future. It sows the seeds of personal hygiene, Equality, one-soul and eventually leads to understanding towards other beings (Every living beings including Humans). Many animes show that crime never pays. You can imagine the effect.
This was just explanation of why people prefer Cartoons, Animes and Comics.
But true love towards Cartoons, Animes and Comics is due to other things.
The characters are mostly super-beings with mysterious powers. While watching them people are so much engrossed in them that for some moments they feel that they are also superheroes/villains as per their likes. They feel their fantasies are fulfilled. Due to those magical experiences, people are drawn towards Cartoons, Animes and Comics.
Animes like “Inu Yasha” and cartoons like “Batman”, perfectly depict Human relationships and values like Love, hatred, jealousy, protectiveness, brethren, bravery, enthusiasm, etc.
Some shows like “Journey to the West” and “Lunar Legend” have stories which can move the hardest of hearts. These are the shows which can cause even anime haters to become anime fans.
The main point causing love for Cartoons, Animes and Comics is very simple. Why do people love Y! Answer? It gives fun and happiness. This is the same with Cartoons, Animes and Comics.

Because comics,anime,mangas.....they all have their own style of comic drawing that make a character looked alive especially on anime.the first time i read a manga, i can't sleep because ........ the eyes...the eyes are cute(comes with the face)
I mean, the mangakas created a whole new dimension that is differ than the real one, it's like you're trapped in 2 worlds for a sec. And that's when I love mangas+anime.

Scott McCloud tackles this in 'Understanding Comics' (a fantastic graphic novel which simultaneously serves a short history of the medium and programmed instruction for the non-fan on how to read comics.)
Basically, if I understand him correctly, it's that the reader can more easily substitute themselves in the story through the generic-ness (as it were) of the characters. Or at least that's how I understood him.

Because most characters are never going to exist in real life,thus causing people to like them. I have a friend who's obsessed over "L" from "Death Note"

there r many reasons....
cartoons help us escape reality
people identify themselves with the characters
each one of us wants to be good but longs to be bad....that is not possible in the real world...so ppl try to live themselves through the comics

I love Yuki Sohma! I love him cuz he is so perfect!!!!!! And he's hot! Just like a real prince!!!!!! Anime/Manga characters r better the real guys cuz their personalities r better! No offense!
