I'm in a touchy situation and I am not sure what I should do. A woman whom I have just started a friendship with called me the other day to tell me she wasn't going to be back in town for our kids playgroup. We know each other through a moms club and our 3 year olds are really close. She had been out of town visiting friends and she was suppose to be home on Thursday. She called on Weds. evening and said she had been having terrible headaches and neck pain. The headaches were so bad she had gone in for an MRI. She wasn't going to have the results until Thursday. I had asked for her to give me a call when she knew what was going on and that I was worried about her etc. It is now Saturday and I haven't heard from her. So my question is should I call her home and talk to her husband. I don't have her cell number so I wouldn't be able to call her directly if she is out of state. My worry is that something could be really wrong and would I be over stepping my boundries

if i called to find out? It could be nothing and she just forgot to call or it could be big and she's not up to calling. I just don't know what I should do and I am worried.

well, i suggest calling, if your a friend, no matter how long you've known her, and your worried, then it shouldnt offend if your worried.

Your concerns have good intentions and with that in mind, make the call. You are not jumping over some imaginary line which would be frowned upon. You are an adult with kids so why are you worried like a teenager??? I'm not being mean so don't think I'm being rude or disrespectful with my comment-please. I am just saying there is absolutely nothing wrong with you checking up on her (just in case something is wrong).

You should call - if she does not want to tell you anything then she won't and if she is not there just leave a message saying you called just to say hi. She might be at home wanting to talk but not wanting to call you as she might feel that she is intruding But even if everything is ok with her it is nice to know that some-one cares. So I would call.

I think you should call just to see how she's doing...there's nothing wrong with that...try to find a pretext for calling - for example say you're calling to check when your kids will play together or something like that and then just ask her how she's doing

People react differently to things. Sometimes they would get happy that you are so concerned, but in some cases, they would just get upset that you are that persistent. It's your call, but based on my life experiences, I wouldn't do anything just yet.

What is touchy about this situation?? You know this lady and you know that she is not well. Call her house and if her husband answers introduce yourself and ask him. I am sure he will appreciate your concern.

I fell you should call her if you are so worried. call her or her husband and tell them you have just called up. if there is any problem u'll know n if not there is no reason to tell them what bothered you to call her.
