My husband and I are reconsidering our trip to Paris in late Nov and want to just go back to the Dominican Republic again...the thought of freezing is Paris is just too much! We have been to the Paradisus in Punta Cana and I was wondering if anyone can suggest another resort with similar amenities (we loved the Paradisus). Also, how is La Romana compared with Punta Cana?

I recommend you Casa de Campo, brad pitt and angolina had been there, also vin diesel, it is very expensive though, if you want something cheaper go to Coral Canoa. Both of them are in la Romana. And dont forget to take a few bachata classes ;). Have fun in my homeland !!

We just got back from punta cana 2 months ago and stayed at the iberostar dominicana, it was a nice resort. Water was beautiful.

for Punta Cana pink flaminco or the Sanatana beach in la ramana, do make sure on your excursion you take the catamaran to paradise island, omg is for sure paradise and they take you in the middle of the carribean ocean and you will only stand in water up to your chest. what a beautiful beach oparadise island is, there are no resorts there its a day trip with all your food and drinks is great......... again pink flaminco in punta cana, is a must youll love it........
