Liberals whine and complain when Ann Coulter throws bombs while celebrating the exact same kinds of bombs when thrown by Cindy Sheehan, Michael Moore, Howard Dean, Randi Rhodes, Ted Kennedy, John Murtha, Charlie Sheen, Sean Penn, Nancy Pelosi, Barbra Steisand, the fat Dixie Chick, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.
Will you liberals admit that it's at least a little hypocritical to overreact to Ann Coulter?

Nice! It took only a few minutes and two of the first three answers proved my point. Thanks to "asserman" and "missing lincoln" to show what hypocrites liberals are by saying that the liberals I listed are 100% right and Ann Coulter is 100% wrong.
IF YOU THIN WHAT ANN COULTER WROTE IS WRONG it just means you didn't read what she wrote. You may think she's insensitive, but she's not wrong.

I love the way Ann did it. Since 9-11 I have been upset everytime I saw those same ladies faces. I myself thought why should they be a part in politics dictating how our President should do things. I don't get to. We feel sorry for them and the Cindy Sheehans so much that we can't tell them to shut up like we could other people. So movements like the horrible moveon.org use them for their agenda. Ann is only exposing the exposers. All those other Liberals spout their crap every day. Bravo Coulter!!

Jealousy, pure and simple.
Liberalism offers lies and simple answers to everything (Conservatives are BAD and just throw rich peoples' money at everything!). Ann Coulter doesn't allow this to go unchallenged, which is the ONLY way these horrible ideas can gain any traction!
Besides, how could you look at how beautiful Ann Coulter is, know she doesn't like you, and admit that she doesn't like you for a reason? Especially when the rest of your life is nothing but lies anyways? They can't call her a Lesbian, because they tell each other that all women should be Lesbians, so they console themselves by saying that she just doesn't like anyone!

Professor Adam-
Exactly how "civilized" is it when, within days of 9/11, some of these "spouses" where out on national television giving liberal speaking points. Bush this, administration that. What complete abhorant, baltant bullsh*t. While this is a very small percentage, it makes them look like nothing other than slimy pond scum.
While I have not read Coulter's latest book, if she addresses them, they're are no words I would find too offensive to describe them or their behavior.

Well, I for one, don't overreact to Ann Coulter....for the most part, I could give two craps about her or anything she says. She's just a media ho - will say anything and do anything to make some cash. What annoys me is people like you who will use any opportunity to smear the left-wing.
And to be frank, the people you listed in your ETA - didn't prove your point.......Cindy Sheehan is protesting the war because her son was killed. What did ann coulter do? Call 9/11 widows witches. Michael Moore is a muckraker - I guess he ticks you off because he's outspoken against Bush. He ticks most Bush supporters off and many anti-Bush peoples off. Hey, whatever. The guy isn't a democrat. Hardly. He's been openly critical of Clinton. Actually - I don't know how any of the liberals/Democrats you listed are in comparison to Ann Coulter.
She's a political pundit - hates liberals, hates anyone leftwing, hates anyone who disagrees with her.
So...what I would like to know is......how the people you listed have said things that are remotely as mean-spirited as Miss Coulter said.....they criticise president bush and the government? Oh my god...the horror. Last I knew...people were allowed to say that. Miss Coulter can say what she will....but you know what? How you gusy reacted to the Dixie Chicks - ya know, be prepared for the consequences of what you say....well, miss coulter should be prepared for that. She knew what she was saying....and it was all to get attention. And most liberals I know....know what she's about.
And not to mention, man.....many many many conservatives have condemned Miss Coulter for her comments. So I wouldn't really base anything you say politically off of Miss Coulter's perspective. YOu'll be written off just like she is.
She's just a nutjob...and no academic, conservative or liberal, would take anything she says as the Holy Grail. It's just good to know that people like you and other people who see her as a hero are in the minority. Thankfully. What she wrote was not true - it was meanspirited, it was hateful, it was just because these people didnt agree with her politically. You go ahead and defend her.....all you want. Just makes you seem as detached from reality as she is.
Personally - if any mainstream republicans agree with her publicly and are up for reelection in the fall...heaven help them. Cos they ain't gonna win. So please...Ann, endorse these republicans....I'll be clapping along because the dems will be the majority. :-D

Come on "Y". I understand what you're saying, "bombs" as you referred to it are "thrown" by both sides. In my opinion however, Coulter's viciousness far surpasses anyone you listed in your rant. Even BILL O'REILLY scolded his beloved friend Coulter, you KNOW it has to be particularly bad for him to do that. We tend to be a civilized nation for the most part, Coulter has seems to have "crossed the line" of civilized behavior with her personal attacks of some 9/11 victims' families.
Freetyme,
I see your point but just imagine if one of your loved ones were killed on that dark day. I think that those personally affected in such a deep and profound way deserve a certain amount of "slack" so to speak. I can't even imagine what they (victims families) are still going through and I hope no one ever has to.

The 9\11 widows that Ann Coulter criticized put themselves into the public debate and were political supporters of Kerry. Once they did that, they cannot expect to be "immune" from the criticism and political flak. If you want to play with the big dogs, you can't sit on the porch.

How the hell are we being hypocritical at all!?! She is a biatch, and a lying, hatemongering biatch at that! Do you hear what she says about Blacks, Arab-Americans, and basically anyone who is not of the Caucasian male species! Hell, she even denounced the 19th amendment (pesonally, damn near), to the point where I ask "She is aware she's a chick, right?"
In conclusion, she would've gone nowhere with her evil ways had it not been for her pretty lips. She's better off as Bush's own Monica, if Condi ever leaves.

Certainly cannot admit that I've seen anyone over-react to Ann Coulter. I believe that people acting how they should (and how she was hoping they would!--for publicity, of course). Her statements were purposeful so that she could move her product. Her statements were also very much calculated, mean-spirited and really beyond what is probably considered decent in most places.

Very humorous. Naturally, I would be called hypocritical. She insults people who have lost someone in the Twin Towers, wants to take women back to the Victorian Era, supported the Apartheid, and several other nonchalant remarks. Don't believe me, take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ann_Coulter, and then tell me how much you respect her. Read that and see why the hell Libs don't like her.
Sternness.
