In a case like this - raping a 12 week old baby girl entrusted ti his girlfriend to babysit - then i think a prison sentence of any lenght is too lenient. His girlfriend has received a lesser sentence which I think is also wrong. She allowed him to do this awful, sickening thing. The poor baby has been left with horrific internal injuries which mean she will never, ever have a normally functioning body.
THE GUY & HIS ACCOMPLICE SHOULD BOTH BE EXECUTED FOR THIS CRIME. I THINK HERE IN THE UK WE ARE WAY TOO LENIENT.

it would be best if he was put down for the good of society hes obviously very mentally ill no one in there right mind could do that, i think England has the lowest sentencing in Europe i think its because the prisons are to full and they can be bothered to build more but there's no way hill live eight years there tear him apart in there, id make him get mental help so he realises what he done and then sentence him for 30 years. the problem is if some ones that ill the are they evil or just very sick mentally and not able to understand what there doing is wrong but then he would had a phyc evaluation that said he knew the difference.
did the baby survive? i heard you don't have memory back that far maybe the baby will not be traumatised by it and live a normal life

Theres a problem with the death penalty. When surveyed, convicted sex offenders said that the death penalty would be more likely to make them kill their victim to prevent them giving evidence. In the US, states that have the death penalty don't have lower rates of crime. It just doesn't work as a deterrrant.

A second offence like this should mean an automatic life sentance. The rest of us have the right to live without this kind of fear.

The sentence he got was life, but he must serve 8 years BEFORE being considered for parole, the judge said he hopes and believes that the parole board will NEVER let him out of jail. Actually if he gets mixed in with ordinary prisoners like murderers etc, he won't last a day, he will get knifed or something equally as fatal, and the prison officers 'won't see a thing'. People like him are hated in the prisons, and he will have to be kept in solitary for his own safety

I know exactly how u feel. this country has become to lenient on the sentences we hand out what kind of message does this send out? I signed one of the papers petitions for these two sickos to get a longer sentence i was hoping for longer than this tho. When did it become almost acceptable to harm children?Makes my blood boil. Death sentence i don't believe in but i agree castration is a very good idea these people are a real danger to society and life should mean life till the day these pervs die if this was my child i would personally castrat them myself

Thankfully the child only being 3 months old will not remember the attack

You are quite right. A life sentence should mean life and nothing else. But our western judicial system is deeply corrupt, unfair and unmanagable.
I would have given life sentences to both culprits. It is a strange practice that for the same crime women get usually lesser sentences than men (not just in this case).

I agree, it is sick. Surely paedophiles shouldn't leave prison, if the fancy kids then it isn't going to stop. But you know, the people who did this to that baby are going to be having the worst time in jail. There are mothers and fathers serving alongside them and I bet the bloke who did it has been raped himself a fair few times. Sometimes justice comes along without our help.

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say this story takes my guts and wrings them out like a wet flannel, my instinct is to do something criminal to the offenders, this would not be acceptable to the whole world, so a suitable punishment should be dealt.
In this case I think they have the balance wrong and the sentance should have been actual life.

The justice system in this country is a green flag to commit crime at any level. Its hard to believe this sick individual will potentially be walking our streets again some day.

Thats sick! I dont believe in the death penalty though but castration yes. That poor child will probably never to be able to concieve through damage done so maybe your right string him up.
