To know if your processor is celeron, pentium 4 or something else.First if your system is on shut down,open the casing ,remove the fan on the processor and take off the proceesor.read the back of the processor cos sometimes it is written there and even its speed.Also if not so then boot the system to windows.On the desktop right click on my computer icon and click on properties,inside properties look at the lower down you will see the type of processor, its speed and even mem capacity.thats all.thank you

um, if you've bought it from PC world or whatever, usually it will have said before you bought it and will have a sticker on the case..
otherwise the my computer right-click will probably do the trick. there's other utilities that can help you if you don't believe that - CPU-Z, Intel Processor Identification Utility, even NoteBook Hardware Control (my current centrino-taming util of choice!) if it's a portable. Get googling!

well this depends if u want to check if ur processor is geniune, in that case i have no idea. Otherwise right click n your my computer icon n go on properties n den on system information u will get all this info there.
