Greenwich Mean Time does not change in the summer, but the London time does. IE, in summer, in London, the local time is GMT + 1.

BTW, you seem to have your locations confused. India is ahead of London, not behind.

Time zones are drawn for the convenience of people, states, countries and are usually marked on specialized maps. Notice the non-linar shape of the International Date Line and how it bends between Alaska and Siberia.

You say 5 1/2 Hours Diff in London and Delhi.Further you say if it is 12 noon then it should be 6.30 ?
