I mean is there a good reason for it, yes I know it's genes, but what's the point in being different heights?

This one sounds like one of Princess_Gabi's questions.

Because otherwise we will all be the same height...and you wouldn't like that, would you?

I suppose it gives you different perspectives on things. Taller is not always better. Try being 7 feet and finding a bed you can sleep in for example.

When I was in college, I knew a basketball center who was 7'4". He was dating a girl who was 5'4". She stood on a wall to kiss him. Can't imagine what it would have been like in bed. I assume it was woman on top.

I am 5'11" and never had a problem with it. I am also 220 lbs. , and yeah, it is overweight, but I can fit in a standard car, go anywhere I want, and not be out of place.

Think about being out of the norm, and what you have to deal with it. Too short, to tall, too fat. (too skinny I don't see any physical barriors to, but there are health ones)

The point is you see things differently, and God may indeed be a witty little Mo Fo.

It is all part of God's plan. We have different heights so that, come judgment day, God can arrange us by height, short up front and tall in the back, and save His time by addressing us all at once. The Dude is clever.

Well We know for certain that people living in different parts of the globe belonged to different races. The Mangolians, the chinese,
the asians, the afghans etc. Their heights, coluor, nose formation also varied. If all move to USA in search of education you come across different sights.

People just are different heights. There is no point.

Scientifically: different genes, different developing conditions (in the womb and during childhood and adolescence).
Philosophically: for the sake of variety. Wouldn't it be boring for us to have all the same height (same hair, same eyes, same everything)???

sO THAT PEOPLE CAN BE DIFFERENT SHORTS.
Ah, no its diet dependent. The greater variety and sustenence the higher we get. Its not entirely genetic in that case. Irish folk-my own example-were never a very tall race of people but since the 1980's when wehit a boom our children are getting taller and TALLER bit by bit.
genetics isn't all but it has alot to do with it aswell.

They are born at different heights (from the sea-level)!

Because its good to be different. Sometimes it is an advantage to ve small, other times to be big. If we were all the same size, we would all have to do the same things, and men would be COMPLETELY ABSOLUTELY useless because I only use them for reaching stuff.
