too much sand blowing around, plus with the direct sun, you wont be able to see your screen anyways. i would not take mine to the beach.

plus, youre at the beach...watch the hot bodies instead!

If you're going to take it to the beach, make sure you have a extended warranty that covers accidental damage.

Getting sand into the keyboard area will ruin the keyboard, getting sand under the contacts.

The sun won't hurt the notebook unless it gets too hot, but it will make if very difficult to read the LDC Screen.

I'd agree with everyone else, you're much better off not using it on the beach. Now, if you want to use it at a beach side cafe, or hotel, that would be a great idea.

Go ahead and take a cheap digital camera with you, and let us know where to see all the pictures of the Hot Bodies..

Sun and sand are definitely not good things, to expose your lap top to. I see lots of people, on to beach, with there lap tops. Unless you are extremely care full, I really wouldn't recommend it. When you are out in the blazing sun, it is extremely hard to see the screen anyway. Why not just bring along a good book, to the beach, and relax. Leave your computer at home.

Yes, it will get damaged with direct sun exposure. Keep it in the shade at all times & be careful with the sand hitting your laptop.

Spydee has it. Be careful of all electronics at the beach: phone, camera, etc. Sand got into our camera on our Hawaiian honeymoon, so we have no photos of that wonderful vacation.

There is a lot of sand and salt in the air...so I think it's a very bad idea.

No damage of your laptop, untill you use it in direct sunlight, on sand, of near water,

I'd never take mine to the beach, no matter how careful you are, the danger is too great.
