I'm a female rapper who has been given the image of a lesbian. I don't act like a lesbian, but because I can rap they are all giving me beef. Is it wrong for females to get into a male dominant industry? I live in South Africa.

In many cultures, where women traditionally take a more subservient role, any attempts by a woman to "break the mold" are attacked. They call you a lesbian because you are not they way they want you to be. However, you truly are who you are because you allow yourselt to be.

Do not let someone push you into being lesser than what you are.

No girl.
They think any female who is even strong or independent or single for a long time is a lesbo.
Keep it up!
Women have entered in many previously male-dominated industries and now? Those are really normal to be at.

I don't think people think all female rappers are lesbians, look at lil kim, shawwna, remy, foxy brown (years ago), trina, even mary j. blige (rapper name Brook Lynn).. just to name a few.. these women are very feminine women, who rap about what a lot of women sing about. You do have those rappers like brat and missy that people think are lesbians, but who's really to say?
Who really cares what other people think anyways? forget them, and keep spitting your verses.

It's because rapping is masculine. besides it will all depend on how u act while rappin. but still the same, It's just like when u see
a guy playing dolls would u think he is gay.?

I don't think they're lesbians. I may not care for their style of music, but I never considered their sexual orientation.
