You are right about the WWF style wrestling....it is merely entertainment...
You want to see some real wrestling watch high school or collage wrestling...now those kids have talent.
My husband and I are youth wrestling coaches...and it is unreal the amount of kids that will sign up thinking it is WWF .... it is so frustrating....
We have to show them Wrestling really is a sport not a smack down brawl.

scripted yes fake no. let yourself be choke slammed by a 500lb man and see how "fake" that feels. Or jump off a 8' ladder onto someone. Ask them how "fake" that was. Yes they pull ther punches and are not out to hurt each other and some of the things they do if were done for real would hurt someone real bad. As far as why. well i find it entertaining and like what they want you to believe. like when HHH blasts someone in the face with a sledge hammer makining it look like he is hitting them as hard as he can is just one of many examples

the same reason you go to see X-Men... you know the good guy has to win but you watch it anyway to see how he/she wins. Its just like watching any tv show. you basically know the outcome.
sometimes it's comic relief. you can sometimes relate to someone hitting someone in the head with a chair and gettin away with it cause you have some people you want to do it to. we live vicariously through entertainment. That is why people watch what they watch. whether it is rated G thru R thru XXX. one man's garbage is another man's treasure.
So all those of you with the negative responses (you know who you are) get a life and look at the quirky things you do. Everyone has a quirky side or some weird thing about them. So stop taking yourself to seriously like your are the eish. You are flesh and blood like everyone else. SO JUMP OFF.

It's entertainment! Just like with any other show on TV you watch to see what is going to happen next. From week to week there is a wide variety of emotions to experience and sometimes we all need a good laugh. Plus whether your a guy or a girl there are hot bodies to look at!

1.some people dont have a life
2.guys watch to drool over the divas
3.gals watch to drool over the superstars
4.most people like violence
5.some of the fights are not scripted and are real enough to keep a few people satisfied
6.its cool and more entertaining than watching pool,chess, golf etc....

It's entertainment, just like movies, sitcoms, dramas, soap operas, fiction books, etc. Every one of those are scripted and fake as well. Are you asking questions about those as well?
