If I have to choose between Democrats and Republicans which I usually do I will vote Democrat because I am a former foster child and the Bush administration and the Republican congress associated with it have severly undercut funding for foster care. They have also cut college loans programs and Pell Grants and so on a personal level I can't afford to vote Republican.

I vote republican because the party is SUPPOSED to stand for lower taxes, smaller government, less intrusion, morality, personal responsibility, defense, and a stricter interpretation of the Constitution.

However, I do NOT vote solely along party lines. If there is a candidate that is better but of a different party, I'll admit it and vote for that guy (I've voted dem, ind, green, and libertarian in prior elections).

Because I am a Republican- and I think voting Independent is like flushing your vote down the toilet, and voting Democrat is like flushing your money down the toilet.

I vote democrat because I hate George W. Bush, and everything affiliated with him. I hate what he's done to our economy and that he's made a mockery of the United States. I hate that the people who are extreme right wings believe that democrats are anti-American.

The only reason I would vote for a particular party is because I can not stand the other party. All politicians are money grubbing scoundrels that do not give a damn about anything but lining their pockets.

I would not vote for anyone based upon their affiliation to any particular political party. I vote for the person who pledges to address the issues that I feel are most important, and whom I believe has the realistic ability to do so.
