Ebay does have a lot of offerings, but generally speaking they are over graded and over priced and I might add over bid. Get a subscription to Numismatic News and in the back it will have a list of upcoming coin shows in your area. In the New Jersey area there may be one about every month. Normally, coin shows are a terrific place to meet dealers and find a wealth of offerings. There should be many dealers there from around your state. See what they have to offer and when you find one that has offerings that interest you, ask for a card and ask if he/she has a shop and if you could come to the shop when things are more leisurely. Many dealers do not have shops however. They trade almost exclusively at shows. No overhead. That is ok too. Get to know them. Give them your want list and your phone number.
