Yes, it's better not to be loved by mistake, or by fakery. But keep in mind that "what you are" cannot be fully described, and is temporary. You can change, or be changed, by the course of living itself.

Who's to judge or say what you are? Can anyone exactly describe all of one's aspects?

I don't think so. I's mostly wishful thinking or self-hypnosis, I say. Only God knows you for sure, because God is you.

To be hated for what you are, for a justified reason would mean you'd be a lowlife, awful type of person. So, OK you are a bad person and people hate you.

On the other hand, if the hate was irrational and unjustified, and limited to a defined set of hateful people, and you are actually a good person, and other people think your'e great and wonderful (and you are), then yes, it would be better to be hated for what you are, if it was an irrational hate.

Being loved for something you aren't implies deceit for the purpose of self gain - not a good way to go about life.

Since you can't change who you really are and you can't maintain a facade forever, then the above is true.

The beauty or danger of forums such as these is that, like chatrooms, you can create whatever personality you want and play with it. You could even 'become' another gender and no one could know. So here, you can have fun being hated for what you 'are' (like a mischief maker) and be loved for what you 'aren't' (like you're some kind of sweet, loving person who's aim in life is to enlighten others)

I'm trying to figure out how someone could love me for something I'm not. Like my guy loving me because I'm not a mass murderer or something? And to be hated for something I am, I can see that being the situation.
Well, since no one wants to be hated, I guess I'll have to go with being loved for something I'm not.

You have to be yourself! it will show you from what you really are. Even though they hate you because your personality but I believe in sincerity of your personality can make the world much better and more color full than covered with lies.

I agree. I am hated at times for my belief in God. I would rather be hated by man than by God. So I have taken my stand and will hold on to my belief.
