Hi,

Well this is currently the situation, last night my whole family was asleep and at about 12.30am, my dad suddenly woke up and started wheezing and couldn't breathe, as if he were choking. It scared the living daylights out of me because my mum and i had no idea what to do.

After about 5 minutes of hitting his back and god knows what, he started to breathe again and then began coughing, and spat out large amounts of mucus.

The worst part of this is that it hasn't been the first time. I remember at the beginning of the year, the same thing happened and last year aswell. I have no idea what the hell is wrong with him. My parents went to the doctors and they were also clueless.

Any help? Please?

Your dad could be suffering from obstructive sleep apnea. It is when your throat closes up and you have a hard time breathing and mucos forms in the throat. You actually stop breathing for a couple of seconds. Your Dad should request that he be tested for this at an overnight sleep clinic.

I wake up many a night having a hard time breathing., so I know what the poor man is going through. In my case I have a heart problem & broncitus. This causes me to build up flouids in my chest & when lieing down can make it hard to breath. I also have 1kidney so that make more fluid. So your dad should consult a doctor who deals with the heart & lungs. I wish you all very good luck.

Homeopathy:-
If your Dad always feels these suffocating spells around Midnight ARSENICUM ALBUM 30 thrice a day and at 15 minutes intervals in a suffocating attack 3 doses will treat and cure his disorder. And if you can ask him to give his details he can be helped and cured with Homeopathic Remedies without any sort of complication or side effects.
Take Care and God Bless !

well, if its mucus, try letting him drink lots of acidy drinks like maybe orange juice or something. or maybe a food that makes people say "clears the sinuses" like peppers? oh well you get the point. you need to try more doctors if one said "no". this could end up being a serious matter. also i like Marilyn D's answer. i think that maybe he could just have e.p.m.s. (extra productive mucus syndrome)
