Maybe have a look through some magazines or artwork books an find something that really speaks to you for some reason, or somethign that represents something in your life. Then perhaps make your own versionof the image and take it to a good tattoo artist who can copy it for you.
It's a really good idea to have something that means something to you though. Just remember to put a lot of thought into it cos it'll be there forever. Good on yer!

This is what I have to say about tattoos. Honey, you can get Hepatitis C from it. It is the most rampant cause of cirrhosis of the liver. There is a treatment for Hepatitis C, but only 50% of those infected will respond to given treatment; the rest get liver disease and die. I also just got my blood drawn yesterday to see if I have Hepatitis C. You see we just found out 4 days ago that my husband has it and that I could also have it because I have slept with him. It's no small matter. I'm sitting here scared wondering what the results will be. I hope my test results come back negative. Please pray for me. I also hope for your sake that you choose not to get the tattoo; it's just not worth it. :(
Additional Note: A lot of people say it's fine if you get it done at a sanitary professional place. What they don't tell you is it doesn't matter how sanitary it is because part of the ink that is used goes back into the ink vials. To show you what I mean...imagine drinking out of a straw. Part of the liquid in the straw goes back into the glass when you are finished. It may be a very small amount; however, it is the same concept with the clean needles and ink vials when people get tattoos. Once you get Hepatitis C you have to get interferon shots 3 times a week for 6-18 months and there is no guarantee that it will work or that you won't relapse. I sure hope my test comes back negative. I will just hate it if it doesn't, and it's so sad that my husband has this. We have an appointment set up with his doctor in a couple weeks to go over his treatment plan. I think people that get tattoos are crazy!!!!

That depends on what type of tattoo art you are into. There are so many different options, just use your imagination. Depending on your beliefs you can look into different symbols and writing that depict different states of mind. (strength, peace, etc...) you can use an asian flair, tribal design, egyptian symbolism... The sky is really the limit. My advice would be to take your time and really put some thought into what you want, because as you will hear over, and over...This will be there for the rest of your life. So make sure it is something you can live with when you are 60, 70, etc...not just a trend. And think carefully about where you want the tattoo placed.

If you can't think of anything then it isn't the right time to have one.
One day something will just pop into your head or you may see something that really speaks to you... that is when you have it done!
I don't have a tatoo but I do know what you mean.

lots of people have the same problem. but you have to realize what you want and want it means to you before you put it on your body... a tatoo is for life unless you want it burned / scrapped off your body which i hear is painful.
i have a tatoo... but it means alot to me and it was a design i created and had meaning behind. so go w/ your gut you can tell the tatoo artist what you had in mind if you are not a drawer ... and they will design something for you... and then you can tweek it w/ them if you like.

Think about something you loved before, you still love and will love 25 years from now. Put that on.
