I am assuming you mean the 50 United States of America. Each state has portions that are "desolate crappy" and portions that are extremely beautiful. Like every race, nationality, country, city, person, nothing is one sided. I live in Rhode Island. If you came and visited only the mansions & beaches in Newport, you would think, "What a beautiful state". If you came and visited only the poor, run-down sections of Providence, you would think, "what a piece of crap". Providence also has beautiful parks, many beautiful homes and neighborhoods. So you cannot judge something so wholeheartedly.
