I dont know where the server is or whether the branch computer is a client with or without a hard disk. I presume it is a client with a hard disk for storing your reports etc and is connected to an intranet which means that all data sent by you is processed at the server end and you only have to keep the reports generated by the server and downloaded by you for your records. If you are in a good company - then dont worry too much. All data on a server is mirrored usually to another hard disk and all reports and data are also kept as backups after the End of Day activities are completed. These can be restored very soon. In the event of these not being restored completely - the other data for only that day will have to be entered manually - which is not a very big task.
Best of luck
