I doubt it. Terrorism isn't limited to just Al Qaeda. Terrorist, freedom fighter, guerilla, it's all synonymous. As long as people are unhappy enough with the government in power in their country enough to die fighting it, there will be terrorism.

No, not at all. Terrorism will still exist while people think that violent is an effective way to show their struggle to reach their goal. It's also depends on prosperity, without wealth, people (especially in underdeveloped countries) can't be well educated or wrongly educated. Laden is just of those who use people who wrongly interpreted their religion believes. I saw many of those who do the same thing with him nowdays.

Nope, you need to stop the next successor of Laden especially if he has a family to pass terrorism to.

it's not that simple. if bin Laden is killed he might well become a martyr. what would that do for "terrorism"? the word itself is a misnomer. what many in the west see as terrorism iis tactics. i have no great love for President Bush and his crew, and indeed i outright disagree with many of his policies, but make no mistake we are in fact envolved in a global war, the like of which we've never seen before. Usama bin Laden is NOT the enemy leader of this war. he might like to be, but he cannot be. there are just too many factions, and indeed there are people in his own camp that would like to see him gone. it is totally amazing one of his cronies hasn't sold him out yet. (as far as we know).
in much the same way that President Bush does not speak for many americans, bin Laden does not speak for many islamics, and there are a lot of islamic people around the globe. and there are a lot of islamic terrorists who may pay lip-service to the bin Laden network while working their own agenda.
so no this is much bigger than one sick old man. there are no easy answers for this war. and i agree with Mr. Bush on one point; this war will be a long conflict. How will our next President deal with it? many look for a swing back to a more liberal style of leadership, and i would like to see a return to social programs, education, and adequate food and healthcare for our citizens. there is no good reason for millions of homeless in america. but the fact is whoever replaces Mr. Bush will have to deal with a terrible international situation which has potential to get compleatly out of hand.
