It just all depends on how much large is the family. Having 5-6 members in a family, and having 9-10 members, makes a hell lot of difference. It could be advantageous also and on the other hand it has disadvantages also.

I think yes. Look at the Kennedy's. Large clans attract people to them because they always look like they are having more fun and in the majority.
