Just for spite, they'll probably elect him in the year after he dies.
He's "banned for life."
It don't say nothin about after he's dead.

He should have been in a long time ago.
How do you make the all-century team and not the Hall of Fame?

As of right now, he can't get in, as was pointed out earlier, because of the rule saying that players on the permanently ineligible list (ie Rose, Shoeless Joe Jackson) cannot appear on HOF ballot. Personally I think Rose should be in but not reinstated to baseball. Ty Cobb was a vicious racist and threw games but he's still in. If Barry Bonds or any other steroid cheat gets in, the whole notion of keeping Rose out to protect the integrity of the game becomes an absolute joke.

At the moment, he is banned for life. He currently cannot enter the Hall.

There has been lots of talk about ending his ban but it never happened.

He was a great player and deserves to be in, but I don't know if it'll happen.

No he bet on baseball and the rule states if you do that that you will get a lifetime ban from the Hall Of Fame. If they let him in they will have to let the others who have been baned. I have followed the Reds all my life and it would be nice to see him get in but he did it to himself. What a shame, he had a grear career.

NO. And it's stupid. Same with Shoeless Joe Jackson. He never bet on the 1919 World Series and he got screwed because he couldn't read or write.

not now. IF BS (bud selig or bull ****, whichever way you look at it) stops and someone else becomes commissioner then he probably will be in the hall of fame. Hell, he should be.

Not unless he is acquitted of betting on baseball games in which he played or coached, and so far the idiot isn't talking. oh, yea, he has to be voted in by the veterans commitee and they aren't even interested in that anymore.

IF the ban is lifted he would have to be voted in by the Vetern's Committiee. It is almost impossiable to be put in that way.
