I also know that freedom and scenery we take advantage of. David had so much things to learn and never experienced what we have today and we don't think much about. I am not saying though that we are selfish but we have more that David in the book.

I just read the book last month, and have recommended it to everyone willing to listen. I rented the movie too. It is a little different than the book, but equally wonderful.

It does make you stop & think about what we take for granted, doesn't it? Imagine, he had never seen his face because there were no mirrors!

The thing that struck me though was David's learning who to trust without being stupid. A big lesson that is hard to learn.

What other books?? By the same author??

I saw the movie and liked it a lot. I guess if the movie is good I should read the book too. I think I will.

The whole series is an amazing story altogether. I really like how he deals with it in the end. It is all so bittersweet, I had to finish them all. I loved the books and the stories they told.
