Your body first goes stiff, then it begins to decay. The soft tissues decay first then eventually then bones decay.

The soul leaves the body and prepares for the after life, depending on how the life was spent doing good deeds and having good Karma, the soul will be reborn onto this earth somewhere and will not end until his soul is purified.

your body is only dead, your soul enters a new body with no knowledge of your previous life, if however you visit buildings and places from your previous life with out you knowing it, the universe is overloaded by you being in the same place twice in 2 seperate bodies and the universe imploads causing everyone else on earth to be extremely p****d at you for imploading their world.
