Has myspace become a second name for immaturity?

Myspace is completely what you make it. If you want to be pedophile central then all you have to do is put up a pic of yourself when you were 3 and wait, it won't be long... Then just add anyone who asks, the creepier the better. Wanna be a swinger? Google "hot dude", pick the dude who's appendage resembles yours the most... *cough* yeah right... Put up the pic, and wait. Proceed as before. Wanna be the most popular dude on myspace? Add everyone without question! Just say they're hot before you do, so you don't get rejected. Or, you could just stick to your plain old self, and have the 3 friends that you have in real life and suffer public ridicule due to lack of popularity... Yah... Hmmm... lol

You shouldn't be so quick to judge someone just off of " I have a myspace account". I think if you want to form an opinion you should know more about that person.

They form an opinion that that person is a tell-all type and that they can keep in touch with them. Myspace isn't imature a large percentage of people are being to make it immature as well as perverted.

It depends on the people that you run into there. A lot of people using the site make it look like a preteen hang out, but for those of us who are mature it's actually not that bad of a place. Don't judge the account owners until you read a little further. The people I'm friends with use it to make friends and post thoughts. Which I don't find to be immature at all. It's the one's that cause sh*t and can't mind their business that piss me off lol.

It's like a never-ending chain letter...

I have an account btw =/
I put a slew of invectives up and still people contact me like:
"Who R U, wanna talk on webcam?!"

I just use it to stay in touch with certain people, who for some odd reason spent alot of time making their myspace account really personal...

I do not form an opinion about aperson based on this. But your question seems to imply what you are insinuating about others -an affliction that pertains to an ability to think clearly about opinion formation. Do you really think:

ALL PEOPLE WHO HAVE A MYSPACE ACCOUNT ARE IMMATURE

This is not logically possible.

Myspace has become another word for immaturity.

I myself do not have a myspce account but i know plenty of people that have one and they are good people. I don't think that it has become a second name for immaturity just some of the people that use it in the wrong ways are immature.

Myspace is the kind of account that people use if they don't know how to do better... full of ads, you (from the little i've seen) can't change the HTML code, and you get all kinds of garbage on it. Here's a link btw: http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/devlin/407

No. I thought myspace was totally advertising yourself for retardedness. Until my sister showed me all these friends from her past that she has reunited with. So, I signed up. I can't believe how interesting it is. I have gotten into contact with childhood friends that I thought I would Never, Ever see again. It's amazing.
