A) it's ok to dislike a genre of music.
B) it is not ok to dislike a race of people.
Did you ever think that maybe they are something other than "cotton pickens"? You may be set in the 1800s when your great-great-great grandparents bought slaves, but are you really fit for modern culture? I'm not saying that it's only ok to like minorities bc of the day we live in.. but seriously. They have blood just as the whites, hispanics, jews and chinese.. japanese whatever. The majority are more than likely to have a more knowledgable brain than you, and you call them "cotton pickens"?

because they are celebs. so they obviously need to act tough and all on the television screen. if u look at reality series, or maybe real life ( if ever ) they may not look as tough as dey seem. i mean, come on man, evryone has dey're ups n Downs. Our babies wud be smart enuff to noe which music to listen to which not. and after all, some ppl do enjoy rap music ...u cant take tt away frm dem. we live our own lives. we choose wad we want to hear. if ur not a rap fan, dont complain. they are othr much important things to worry about.

That's funny, that is what my parents said about rock n roll! It's all about an image. Every generation has one, unique to them, to separate themselves from the rulers. Although I do think that you are right, people just have no respect any more, for any thing. One more thing.... there is a difference between hip hop and gangster rap.

You can't understand it because your *** is ignorant. A normal person can listen to everything. I listen to rap, R &B, country, classical, jazz, alternative...you name it. Now why do they pretend they are tough, probably because some of them are, ever been to the projects? Or are you too over privileged for that? And when the hell did rap become about cotton picking? Um the KKK is waiting for you, grab your white sheet and go!!!!!!!

It is just a fad. 8 years ago it was trance and look at that today. Give it 4-6 more years and it will go the way of disco and make way for something that will annoy you even more.

Who would have a fan following as huge as rappers do if they had a soft attitide, no1 wants to follow a loser, so the bully, rough tough exterior is shown so that the fans can have pride.
