There is emprirical data supporting the notion that classical music improves memory. The population studied were university students who were about to take an exam. Their retention was superior to the other 2 groups who listened to rock and country respectively. EEG's also showed distinctive brain activity when people listened to classical music. In fact, there's a whole lot of empirical evidence to suggest that listening to classical music is very healthy for the brain. It's 2:16 am where I am and I just AIN'T gonna get it for you right now.
