Like at Home Depot, or Radio Shack. You can't apply in person, you have to go online, and I don't know if they even see my application. When I was in the navy my whole job was parts, Ordering, labeling, recieving, inventorying etc. I know I could do these jobs if I could just talk to the person that does the hiring.

Get pro-active. Do not wait for an entry level job. You have skills.Identify all possible employers in your area, make up a good resume (cover letter, job history, related skills and references) and contact them all. Companies value motivated self-starters, so you tell them all that you can do good for them if given a chance. Follow-up any contacts. Talk to people in person.
Get out there and hustle or nothing is going to happen.

Apply online, make a killer resume and cover letter and let them know you are qualified for the job. Once they believe you are applicable they will contact you and you will get an interview in person, where you could prove to them in your own words. Applying online makes it simpler for them, that way they don't have hundreds of people lining up and they would select those they feel are best for the job and move on from there. Allso sometimes they need the qualifications in writing in order to measure your competence on many different levels.

Good Luck

Just trust they will indeed read your application. This method of applying for a job will benefit someone such as yourself, as you will be able to follow the instructions and fill in the application properly. etc. Someone with your skill set and experience will have no problem getting a position at any of these places.

It is a lot more easier for the employer to get information online instead of mail or fax. You have to realize that you are not the only person who is interested, qualified, and applying these jobs, so getting online information is a lot more easier to search for the right candidate. They will get your application for sure if you do it online, BUT you got to have the right wording so your resume will draw their attention.

You can still highlight all your experiences in your resume in the online application. If you are who they need, they surely will call you back.
