I dont control it as well as i should.
I have a tendency to pick whatever is close to me and throw it at whomever I am mad at.

I hold it in. And this is coming from someone who didn't used to hold it in. I used to "let it out," yell, throw things--get really explosive.
But after I learned that anger is a destructive feeling that serves no purpose (only to vent frustration), I learned that it is best to hold it in. Because usually the things that cause anger aren't legit. In other words, the thing that makes you angry is never really worth being angry over. At least most of the time.

I used to be cheeky to people if they made me angry but after a harsh lesson that I don't wish to discuss on here, I have learned that this is not the best route to take. Now I take a deep breath in, hold it and count to ten. Then I breathe out slowly and try and imagine all the negative energy leaving my body. If I still feel angry, I go away on my own and think about the reason I am angry and try to find another solution. If I still feel angry, I share the problem with my b/f .

Before anger management counseling I punched walls and trees Yes, trees. I was a teenager then and did that instead of hitting my mom or my brother, or whoever had pi$$ed me off...Now, I either clean, listen to some Mudvayne or SOAD, stomp around, or vent on someone that I know won't take it too personally, like my husband.

If you get angry quite often, bite your lips, or try to punch on the wall. Some physical pain can always make you forget your anger.
ME!!!- I'm good at controlling my anger.

I smash dishes and punch walls! LOL! Not really...I'm pretty easy-going and rarely get crossed. But when I do, it's more like the silent treatment, till I think up something funny that I have to share, then I HAVE to talk again. That's confrontations though. I spend more time ranting behind their backs.

I have a box on my dresser and in the box I put it...
I have little note paper and when something happens and I have no control i just write it down and leave it right in that box. Now if I write it down then that means I have to leave it in the box..Not to bring it up again...It has worked for me.....

Pumping iron always works really well for me, it sure beats smashing things up and is a lot more beneficial to your health.
