Was it fake? No... It was scripted and the winner and moves were decided before the match (as happens in most wrestling matches), but it was for real, the blades, barbwired, the fire - it was all real, and both were hurt during the fight.
Are they friends?
Yes they are, most wrestlers do get along with each other in real life, when are out of character. It's their character which are enemies.
You won't believe how many wrestlers which are arch enemies on screen are actually best friends in reality.
Mick Foley and Adam Copeland (Edge) are friends in real life, and Mick even wrote the intoduction to Adam's book.

Well, sometimes matches are scripted by the road agent, but sometimes the road agent lets the wrestler call it in the ring. The ending is the only thing that is scripted all the time. Wrestlers do talk the match over before hand, but sometimes they can improvise. So the hardcore match between Foley and Edge, I believe, wasn't "fake" or fully scripted. Of course they are friends, all wrestlers are usually friends no matter what happens in the ring!

it wasn't 100% fake,no hardcore matches are 100% fake.i mean have you watch that match,foley getting speared into a flaming table and edge's back was pierce with thumbthacks how do you fake that and yes there are friends.

professional wrestling has always been 'fake'. i mean, fake in the sense that everything's scripted. so yeah, edge and mick are friends... like most wrestlers are friends even if they're enemies in the ring...
take note that professional wrestling should only be done by the pros, don't imitate the moves you see on tv at home... :)

well for me i think its not.. but there are most match that are faked but for me i think others are real.

most of them are freinds in real life, but t'funk looked pretty messed up !!!!!!!!!! he and catus jack have really hurt each other before
