try two triangles. one up the correct way and the othe over the top of the first but upside down.

1. decide how many points you want the star to have.
2. divide 360 (degrees in a circle) by the number you selected
to get the number of degrees each point will be seperated by.
3. using a compass draw a circle
4. let's say you wanted a six point star (360 divided by 6 = 60).
Put a dot on the circle every 60 degrees.
5. connect the lines.
