We use to use ammonia and water as a wax stripper. Just mop with the stuff. I'm sure there are other brands on the market now. You should buy wax depending on the type of floor you have to wax. Is it wood, vinyl, or what? If it's a vinyl tile, for example, you can use those acrylic waxes. The best wax is paste wax by Johnson and Johnson, but it will require a buffer to shine it up. It stays on about 6 months. Good luck.

lows has good floor stripers and it is not that hard , it will take about a day to strip and wax one room now the wax sam's club has a good wax it's in bulk so u can be liberal

I tried doing that but the wax ended up on most of my limbs - suggest that you wax the floor with your clothes on ...
