I think you should embrace different parts of all the cultures in your background, don't focus on what to "call" yourself. Everything in your background counts, but why do you need to label yourself, can't you just be Jeannette? Or do you have to be, 3/4 black and 1/4 Native American Jeannette? I think we focus too much of defning ourselves based on color/religion/labels and yes these things are important, but not have a title to give people. They are important for what they are, part of our past and maybe even part of the present. So consider yourself whatever you want to be and focus on the parts that you like, don't worry about dividing yourself into little peices of your past to define who you are.

Well, your race goes by your father. And being nigerian is black. So, girl you black. But you have many cultures. Most black people are not just pure African decendent. Some where down the line we have all kind of relatives - white realtives too. My great great grand mother is a pure indian her name is Shi-yo. (on my mother side) and my great great grand mother on my mother side is creaole and white. So, like I said Your considered black because probably the african decendents out weighed the others but you have many cultures.

I even have been at a loss for words in view that final year, subject in verbalizing narratives, short reminiscence, and etc. I wager you're all ya, ya! I had a bilateral subderal hemotoma and all different actual stuff is compounding itself. I even have 2 indentations on the best of my head. My pals characteristic to horns that have been sawed off. ok, so I even have burned some pans, yet no fireplace contained in the living house, and enable water run down the line, vacationing at smash neck velocity. So, now that is time get on the right song: "once you're chuffed and you understand it, clap your palms! " confident!

Yes, you are bi but alot of people only look at the skin color. I am African-American but my great grandmother was a Cherokee Indian. I believe every race is bi-racial. We are all mixed with some other race but our skin color shows differently.

to me, you are you...you have native american blood...and that to me is something to have pride in...I see no reason why you cannot consider yourself bi-racial and be proud of all you are...after all many native americans suffered right along side mother eath...their blood was spilled and part of that blood is your blood...be proud of you and if you would prefer to just keep it as it is as black...that is fine too...be true to you and to your heart.

You can consider youself bi-racial if you want to. It's nice that you know your heritage and if you personally feel that that means you are bi-racial, then I think that is fine. If you don't, that's fine too.

Why do people tell you that your native American blood dosent count ? Of Course it counts ......ALL parts of your heritage count
Maybe the people that tell you this are racist ....Be proud of who you are and dont let anyone tell you that ANY PART of your heritage dosent count .......embrace it ALL ..that way your life is enriched by 2 beautiful cultures ....enjoy and count yourself lucky you get to be part of both of them :- )

The fact of the matter is, that it is YOU who decides what you are. If you think you are Black, than hell yeah you are Black, if mixed, you are biracial etc. Why would it matter what someone thinks of you, or say.
