Before I start this, I want to say that I am pretty moderate. Normally, I take what political pundits say with a grain of salt. However, yesterday, I read a news story about Coulter's new book bashing on the widows of firemen who died in 9/11, saying that they were "using" their husbands' deaths to promote a political agenda and that they were happy their husbands died so they (the wives) could promote their liberal agenda. I don't know about you, but that seems pretty vile and low. Is there any good reason to read anything Coulter writes?

Today she was in Lou Dobbs - I had to switch the TV off. I cannot stand her. Basically she avoids all the questions that Republicans are not happy to answer. She is not making any progressive shut-up, she talks in her high pitch voice and blabber things which are not at all related. I consider her to be in the group of rich Republican who just make the hard working real conservatives stupid.

I accept her point that it is wrong to use dead people to push political agenda as liberals are doing - it is great to use that for pushing for Iraq war!

It is easy to harp on democrats and liberal policies since democrats are an umbrella group for 100's of wide ranging political interest groups starting from gay-lesbian groups to environmentalists. Some of the stance taken by liberals are out of main-stream America but saying that every left-leaning person as godless is a big stretch. 90% of the liberals stands for the following and nothing more:
1. Good fiscal policy that can stop these huge deficits
2. Help for the working men and women for whom it is getting harder every year to survive
3. Keep the medical cost in check
4. Stopping arrogant foriegn policy
Anything beyond this is an aberration - some groups would like to push their agenda through Democratic forum but it is never gonna succeed.

Like her...not especially. Agree with her...yes. I can guess where you read your "news story."

The REAL story is that her book is slamming 4 (I repeat 4!!) 9-11 widows who have taken a very public and vitriolic stand against the administration. They very much are using their widow status to gain a public forum and have been criticized by a number of other 9-11 widows, BTW.

While Coulter does not deny them right to speak out, she does say that these 4 are using their personal tragedies to further a political agenda and that when someone tries to criticize their statements the comeback is, "You can't attack me, my husband died in the Trade Centers."

Well Boo-Hoo!...when you insert yourself into the public discourse, you are fair game for criticism. It's called "Freedom of Speech" and it works both ways.

I still love Ann, There are not very many people on the right who will take a very hard stance. Look at all of the Liberals on this site who constantly put out there crazy agenda points that are filled with hate.

Ann's point is that they are not the only people who have a right to speak on this issue and that all Americans were effected by the events of 9-11 these woman got millions but what about the wife's of our service men what do they get and who listens to them. No one

I saw her on Hannity last night and she was confronted about those things. Before I listened to her responses, all I had to go on was what had been said in the media about her remarks. However, she clarified what she meant by those statements and quite frankly, the woman is right on target.

I think we've all been conditioned to gasp in horror when any reference is made about dead people, like they are off limits for some reason. Even if their death is being used to promote a political agenda. Which should be considered equally as wrong.

So yeah, I like her.

I never liked her.

I can tolerate her fine, until she opens he mouth and the venom pours out!

Ann has a terrible point.

She doesn't like the fact that they are not in her camp. Coulter can have all the free speech she wants, but people who lost people at the trade center can't!! Sounds pretty damn un-American to me.

I think she is suffering from some type of mental illness and refuse to get professional help. I never really like her, yeah maybe a quick rump under the sheets but then again she might pull out an ice pick and try to kill me.
Overall she is a nut case

I enjoy her she is a political commentator, she says things that are over the top to get attention and that is how she makes money, and she is quite good at it! She also does not lie like her liberal counterparts (Al Franken, Michal Moore).
