Chocolates.... they are actually so gr8. So chocolates and chocolates with a great hug and smile is the best gift for a frendship. Surely u will rejoice.

Chocolates? Flowers? Friendship?? You are all way, way off. Clearly, the best, if not only gift for a friend you truly cherish is a Pacific island- they're a steal at just a few million a pop. Plus, then you can live there with your friend, solving your homesickness problem.
Alternately, you could give them something special that had a specific meaning to the two of you- like macaroni art! You can't go wrong with pasta. Or you could like, build them a cake, or something.

If it is a girl--flowers and a gift from your country that is special or unique
If it is guy, then buy them a unique present from your country.
I have been talking to this guy in Sweden. If he came to visit and he offered a gift, I would want something original or unique to that country and culture
But a smile and hug will do wonders for you friend too!

Some Lindt chocolate,
you know the little gift packs you can get , very expensive but yummy!
Or some bath and body oils etc....
thats what i would do!
