Keep white vinegar in a spray bottle in the shower and spritz it down before getting out.
Can also wash those in the washer with white vinegar added, then rehang it so that it is killed and you can begin the new process.
White vinegar is cheap and it works.

They now make a mildown-proof shower curtain liner. I bought mine at Target for $9. It is a little more expensive than the cheapies, but it will save you money in the long run because you don't have to keep replacing it every few months. I have had mine a while now, and never have I had any mildew. They're great!

You will always have the mold if you don't close the shower curtain so it can properly dry after a shower. Put up two rods and put a pretty fabric curtain on the outside rod and a clear vinyl one on the shower, this way he can see into the shower thru the closed clear shower curtain and you will be able to keep it closed, you can also find the clear vinyl ones with a design on them then you only need one shower curtain!! Good Luck

Just take baths.
Or ... my advice would be to replace the shower curtain with a sliding door. That's what my parents did growing up, and frankly I hated it because of the tracks on the side of the bathtub made it so you couldn't sit there anymore, but it would definitely resolve your mildew problem.

get that daily shower spray and ask him to spray it for a compromise. Or get a shower curtain that inhibits the growth of mildew. There are many mold and mildew removers, however I do know AMWAY has a product to clean windows that works the same. (NO I DO NOT SELL AMWAY) I believe the active ingredient is ammonia

Just clean your liner everytime you clean the tub. They should last alot longer that way. Thats what I do, though I still replace them on average of about twice a year, sometimes a little less. They are cheap enough.

I bought a $16.00 liner and 4 weeks later it had mildewed. I have used all kinds of curtains, the mildew always prevails. The silky liner lasted the longest, and I machine wash it, but it is still stained, even though it is clean. I will try the vinegar spray. Mildew Warrior
