Have you ever seen something happen, even minor, and you think you've seen it happen before? Like it was in a dream or a premonition you have. Where does that come from?

Some dreams are stored in the part of the brain where you cannot conciously trigger it, just like a certain smell triggers a memory. It works in the same concept.

Except you dream as much as two hundred unconnected images in a certain night and store those in that unaccessible part of your brain. That part of your brain store those random images much like your concious memories are stored in the accessible part of the brain.

Imagine storing ten years worth of images (dreams) where you you can dream up to two hundred images a night!

A situation you have dreamt years ago might suddenly be played as a "memory" on a situation you just experienced in reality, but only saw it as an image from a dream five years ago.

Hence, Deja vu is nothing but a "false" memory you dreamt a long-time ago.

When Deja Vu hits you it hits you hard for just a minute. Your sittin around the dinner table when you brother does something that you've seen him do before. Then you really start to think about it and the Deja Vu just goes away for some reason. I think Deja Vu comes from those dreams that you can never remember. But when some one says or does a certine thing it can trigger your memory of that dream and you will think you've been there before.

That's called Deja Vu, and yes, it does happen to many people, and you might have seen it as a scene in your clouded dreams (that's why you can't be definite if you saw it in your sleep)

Its called deja vu. It's French and means, literally, "already seen." Don't ask me how or why it happens. But yes, lots of people experience it.

It's called deja vu, and it's an "instant memory replay" that occurs when you see something, which makes you think you've seen it before.
