Well, the fact is that people have free will, and God respects that, even in a mysterious way. We know what is right and what is wrong. The choice is ours. God will not come to stop a crime. But the responsibility of our actions is ours and God will make us answer for them

God gives us choice. As humans, we have to decide if the guilty party life is worth saving. Does this person belong in a sanitorium or in a prison. I am from a state that gives the death penality. My state also executes mentally ill and mentally handicapped people. My whole deal is...as a higher life form, isn't it our responsibility to take care of children so they don't grow up to become crazy lunatics? So, we better build a lot more prisons now because there is pretty much a guarantee that the kids will turn into murderers, rapists and gang bangers if they are not taken care of when they are little.

If each of us is born with light and dark then it is the individuals choice which they become. The child had every purpose for living, but somebody else took it away from them. Don't you believe that when one turns the light out for one, then they are dimming their own?
There is no understanding the empty soul, how one can do what you say to another, it is beyond comprehension for most of us.
I know somebody who had a problem, this problem caused her to harm others and could have cost others their lives, when she was asked "why" she never knew. She said it was a voice in her mind doing it. Doesn't that make it sound like a split personality? Or the devil inside her?
I used to wonder "Why", always wanted to know why somebody harms another, how can somebody harm another and see the pain they are afflicting. It is very hard to forgive one who afflicts but that too is possible with God, god isn't the one who makes these people do what they do but he can save the ones who has been harmed, whether alive or the ones who has had their innocence stripped from them.
God saved me, God saved my sons! God warned me of danger! God I have to thank, he isn't the one who causes the harm, people are!!!

Ah, another philosophical question about God. Well, it all boils down to love. Yep, that's right, love. See, when God created us, He gave us the choice to choose something other than Him. By "Him" what I mean is the standard of perfection in all things. All powerful, all righteous, all loving. We know He gave us this choice for two reasons: 1) you can't FORCE someone to love you. If it is forced, it ISN'T love. 2) It says so in the Bible.
The sick individual that did this horrible act to the child CHOSE TO DO SO OUT OF HIS OWN FREE WILL.
The purpose for this child's life then becomes very simple:
1) To show those humans who want perversion as pleasure to rethink their positions,
2) To possibly show His (God's) infinite wisdom and love towards a perverted human who just might ask for forgiveness (from a God who is powerful enough to forgive) and finally,
3) To give the child an early "ticket" to eternal paradise.
That's how good God is.
Peace and axle grease,
Jon

First off "god" is just an excuse, and so is "satan". What happened is truly awful and I would NOT hide that at all. I would explain it factually. As for why it happens, well there are sick people out there who act upon their OWN impulses and make such decisions. Ask them why they did it if you really want to know.

There is no earthly way that such a horrible thing can be explained in such a way that a person could ever "make sense" of it.
It's atrocious, and that's all there is to it.

The crime was a result of a crazy person's thoughts. There are other people out there who choose to stay in situations of abuse, and I think god used this child as a wake up call as to what can happen if you stay around a violent person.

Some people are just sick, including people who think that this is a proper question to be put up on a public site. Smarten up a little!
