You can't satisfy anyone without pulling yourself apart trying to accomodate them. You can't make everyone happy. We try to seek approval from others because it adds to what we think our self worth is. We want people to be proud of us and like us, it is just the way we were taught to put others opinions and values over our own.

it's difficult to satisfy people because everyone has very different views or opinions of what will satisfy them and what will make them happy... what people think of us is important because as humans we rely on other people's reactions or "what they think" to tell us or assure us that we're doing the right thing... interaction with other people is "communication"...therefore, you know how and what to react or what to do after people send you the message that you're doing good...

Because we are human, and so are other "people"... therefore, there is no possible way to completely live up to anyone's expectations or standards.... at least not for long. And its only important to you if you choose to let it be.
I say smile, enjoy each day, and don't worry so much about what others think. Life is short, and I would rather die knowing I have been true to myself... not to some other person who won't really appreciate my efforts anyway.
Cheers!!!
